Walking and bike trails, wildlife watching, picnicking, feed our city’s famous swans donated by the Queen of England, enjoy sunny weather and endless activities throughout the year. Lakeland is known for its parks, recreational facilities and of course, lakes. There are even seven large lakes within mere miles of your new home at Lakeland Estates!
Walking Trails and Parks
If you enjoy being outside, then Lakeland Estates’ location can’t be beat! Lake Hollingsworth, Lake Parker and Lake Morton are just a few of the local lakes featuring beautiful scenery and recreation. Lake Morton, the “Swan Lake“, features newborn swans each January/February that are descended from the royal flock of swans on the river Thames. Less than 1 mile west of Lakeland Estates, the Hollis Garden is a botanical garden adjacent to Lake Mirror that offers natural beauty in a neo-classical architectural setting.
Golf
Every Tuesday at Lakeland Estates features a group golf outing to one of the several courses within 10 miles of our community. If you’re a golf lover, you couldn’t hope for easier access to top quality courses in Florida!
Major League Baseball
Baseball lovers need look no further. The Tampa Bay Rays play less than an hour away and every March to April Florida hosts the Grapefruit League where MLB teams from all over the country come to hone their skills for the coming season.

Just minutes away from Lakeland Estates in downtown Lakeland is The Lakeland Center. This state-of-the-art facility plays host to many types of live entertainment such as orchestral concerts, comedians, regional sports and craft expos. You’ll never be at a loss for what to do on date night!

Lakeland Estates is located in the heart of the “County of 100 Lakes”. With this many choices available, you’ll have no problem finding a favorite fishing hole to call your own.
Organic Garden
Healthy living is something we believe in at Lakeland Estates. We’ve set up our organic “Share Garden” so that everyone in our community can enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables. Everyone who is able to work the garden may do so, but all residents share in the rewards. For a bit more variety, the Downtown Lakeland Farmers Curb Market hosts over 50 vendors of local produce and crafts every Wednesday and Saturday of the year.
